Hollow_Form_Object_Concept
This project was the most challenging so far, as the constraints of being a hollow and self-supporting structure; had me trying to think outside the box. When developing concepts, I tried to avoid major inclines; such as horizontal surfaces and overhangs.

I'm becoming faster at using the program and can now recall the basic commands without referring to our class notes as often.
Here are some sketches I did before I gave it a try in Rhino:
Inspired by a grain silo, I was planning to add slanted pieces between the legs for extra support, but I was concerned that they wouldn't be able to print as the slant may be too intense. I'm also not sure how the legs would connect to the cylinder, as the cylinder would have to have the same thickness as the legs.
Inspired by a plastic beer cup or one of those silicone collapsable bowls. I wonder if the ledges are small enough that they'd be able to maintain their integrity.

A very vaguely headphone-shaped design...
And then there is whatever the heck these are... I was gonna do mushrooms but then gave up, although I'm sure there is some way to go about making some cute mushrooms...
