Hollow_Form_Object_Part_2_Final_Design
Last week's feedback was not as useful as it could have been. I think everyone I spoke with is just as new to 3D modelling as I am, so they didn't have much to say. However, it boosted my confidence in my designs. It was great to see what everyone else created, and it was also a useful opportunity to meet more classmates.
So, here is my final choice for the closed solid polysurface design. I was really blanking on ideas for this whole project. In the end, I went with this design because although I didn't have a specific function in mind for this object initially, I figured it has the most potential to be useful. Maybe as a pencil holder or it would be cute to hold air plants. I like its symmetry and how it looks different from every angle. I was initially concerned about how the slopes would print, but after simulating it, it seems likely that it will print fine.
