[4&5) BLOG POST: WATERJET PREP + CUTTING

Here is the final comparison between the water jet cut piece, the laser cut prototype, and a real Toblerone:
My file was being weird, and I had trouble generating the G-code. Peter was kind enough to fix the issues in the file, so in the end, I got it done. I didn't make any adjustments to the cut template other than removing the tabs. I didn't plan well, so I didn't add the portion at the bottom of the Toblerone, curved part inbetween sections or include the extra section. However, it is still much better than the laser-cut version because the copper holds itself up. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The cut itself went smoothly and only took about 15 - 20 min. I forgot to document the piece before folding it. Somehow it ended up even bigger than the prototype, so I will need to work on my scaling in the future. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ For post-processing, I sanded off the burrs. I enjoyed folding the copper version together, though I nearly forgot which side to fold first. It was a bit challenging to get the exact angles right, and the tiny parts were delicate and difficult to fold.
